Building on quality

The Peer and Practice Assessment is designed to assess the validity and quality of professional practice. Its ultimate purpose is to maintain the integrity of the practice by filtering out invalid or poor quality. These assessments are objective reviews of your knowledge and performance to ensure your professional service practice is providing safe, ethical and competent service.

Protecting the public

The goal of any professional quality assurance program is to protect the public by working in partnership with each professional, to support and provide tools to demonstrate ongoing competence.

We will assist you in avoiding roadblocks that are in the way of making important decisions, enabling forward movement in the best way possible.

We can assist you with:

  • Preparing/managing your expectations about what a peer and practice assessment looks like;
  • Familiarizing you with all the materials related to your assessment;
  • Organizing your assessment tools by gathering and organizing practice and financial information that aligns with government/professional-association compliance;
  • Assisting in compiling necessary documents in one place for easy access;
  • Improving your compliance with professional regulations, standards of practice, policies and guidelines;
  • Providing a more in-depth, conversational review of a selection of files for review to better ensure that members are maintaining accurate records, reflective of compliance;
  • Providing a complete review of the member’s professional portfolio to insure that all components, especially the Self-Assessment Plan of Action, are being addressed.

Helping you navigate

Peer and practice assessments are meant to be educative and not punitive. We are happy to help you navigate the particulars of this time-consuming process.
